Chandler Library’s Outreach team has been busy this spring! In February we interacted with over 400 people at the Chandler Innovation Fair, demonstrating STEAM and Makery technology including Cricut, Cubelets and Oculus. Kids loved these exciting hands-on activities! In the past month, Outreach has visited all 32 CUSD Elementary schools to re-introduce ourselves and our school visit opportunities. We also attended Knox Gifted Academy's celebration of Science & Engineering night and made plans throughout the school district to promote the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge. In other community activities, we gave away books at the Great Great Saturday event at the East Valley Dream Center, hosted a Black History Month storytime with guest reader Miss Juneteenth Arizona and joined the City of Chandler's Golden Neighbors event to promote reading among seniors and children! We're halfway through our LibCon series of pop culture events, and we've had great turnout so far!
