This Month's Featured Book Groups

Do you love reading and talking about what you've read? Join one of our Book Discussion Groups! We have groups for all kinds of readers, including two for specific interests.

Our Teen Book Club is just for ages 13-17, an informal get-together where everyone can tell the group about their latest read. Do you have a teen at home who loves books as much as you do and wants to tell other book lovers about it? This group is for them! Teen Book Club meets the second Wednesday of the month at Hamilton Library.

The Chandler Museum Book Club is a special collaboration between Chandler Public Library and the Chandler Museum, featuring curated titles that relate to current and future exhibits at the Museum. November's selection is They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, a memoir in graphic novel format about Japanese-American internment camps during World War II. Choose one of two meetings: Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. or Tuesday, Nov. 21 at noon, at the Chandler Museum.

Tips for Readers: Did you know?

Looking for a way to track your books, connect with other readers and make your reading more engaging with fun challenges? Check out Beanstack! This social reading site lets you list titles you've read and track your reading streaks, as well as offering monthly challenges with a theme. November's challenge is Native American Heritage Month. Complete activities such as checking out a Culture Pass and reading books by Indigenous authors. Celebrate the rich cultural traditions, histories and contributions of Indigenous peoples in North America.
